Competitive Players Camps:
These camps are designed for young golfers who want to maximize
their scoring potential (ideal for players, ages 16-20 wishing
to compete at the college level). For that reason a 36 hole
stroke play competition is the most significant aspect of the
camp. Players will be observed and evaluated as they compete in
order to develop more effective practice routines.

Golf Schools:
Golf is
a personal and individual experience. As a result, Ron Philos’
School of Golf believes that golf instruction should be a
private and personal experience. Golf Schools are built and
scheduled around this concept.
3-1/2 Day
Playing School.
We have found that
3-1/2 Days is the most effective amount of time to truly
gain understanding, find awareness, and develop exercises
that will lead to long term improvement. As a result, the
3-Day Playing School is changed to a 3-1/2 Day Playing
School.
-
Day 1 – Evaluation
– ½ day on the tee, lunch,
½ day on the
course
-

-
Day 3 – Make
adjustments – ½ Day on the tee,

Philosophy
At
Ron Philos' School of Golf, we have discovered that improvement
is the combination of the following:
|
Understanding (Know what)
Awareness (Know how & how it feels)
Exercise (Practice feeling what you know)
|
 |
It is
around this concept that all our programs are designed. This is
what separates us from golf schools that rely heavily upon
repetition and mindless ball hitting.
In
each program, instructors help students to:
Understand the clubs and how they should hit the ball.
Understand yourself and how you need to get ready to move and
what you want moving when.
Become aware of where you are and where you're going.
Perform the exercises that help you create the proper feeling
in the key positions. This is more than just hitting balls.
