 From May - September you can find Ron Philos'
School of Golf in the Northeast as well as at Amelia Island
Plantation. Instructional programs are conducted at the Otesaga
Resort Hotel's Leatherstocking Golf Club in Cooperstown, New York.
One of the premier features of The Otesaga is its 72 par
Leatherstocking Golf Course. Designed in 1909 by Devereux Emmet,
it is considered by many to be one of the East's most scenic and
challenging resort golf courses.
The natural
contour of the course sweeps along the western shore of Lake
Otsego. The mid holes climb to elevated fairways and tees that
provide unforgettable views of the Lake and the adjoining grounds
of The Fenimore Art Museum and The Farmers' Museum. Our
state-of-the-art practice facility offers lessons and clinics for
the golfers' pleasure.
A full complement
of golf services, including putting greens, lessons, equipment
rentals, and a selection of fine golf apparel, is available at the
historic fieldstone Golf Shop.
The Otesaga's
Leatherstocking Golf Course welcomes area residents and visitors
in addition to guests of the Resort. The Otesaga is an ideal day
trip from Albany/Schenectady, Utica, Syracuse, Rochester,
